The name of my hero is Ashley Thomas, also known as Bashy. Bashy grew up on the streets of NW London, his parents are from the West Indies. He started rapping when he was 14 years old on his school playground. And people heard that he was good and they asked him to come to parties and clubs.

He was asked to go on pirate radio in East London and became more popular. This year he released the album "Catch Me If You Can" featuring the track Black Boys. In this song he said all the black boys can do well and achieve good stuff. He says we should stop following all the gun and knife crime.

I was proud when he sang Black Boys because I see a lot of black boys dropping out of school and making money on the streets and stabbing other people. It is not right. We should treat each other with respect so all of us can do well with our lives.
