Andrey Tyunin

My hero is Andrey Tuynin. He was a military man. He saved two of his colleagues.
Andrey Tyunin was Russian. He was born in 1969 in the Kurgan Region. He finished a secondary school. Then he graduated from the Agricultural Institute, and served in the Armed Forces.
Tyunin took part in the counterterrorist operation in the North Caucasus.
It was in 2001 when one of the illegal armed formation leaders was beign captured. He suddenly detonated a grenade hidden under his clothing. Andrey covered the grenade with his body. He was killed. His two colleagues standing next to him stayed alive.
He was awarded with the title of Hero of Russia. The highway leading from Kurgan to Uval (the district where School 23 is situated) is named after Andrey Tyunin.
