A hero is a person that has strength, courage, and is brave. Bill Gates is a hero to me because he has a been giving money to the less fortunate. I think we need more people like Bill in the world that will help the less fortunate.

Bill Gates is an intelligent person who has helped millions of people. Bill began liking computers for the first time when he was on one at the age of twelve. At the age of fourteen, he and his friends made a computer company in his basement. Years later he amassed a small fortune with his company, Microsoft. Bill uses his fortune in many ways. He has a charity foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, that helps people in the U.S and around the world. He even helps people get through day by day living. Bill must have a lot of people that want to thank him for being a smart and generous person.

Bill Gates was born October 28th, 1955 to parents William and Mary Gates. Bill was born in Seattle, Washington. Bill went to Harvard University as a freshman but did not graduate. Bill has a wife named Melinda and she has been helping Bill with his charity. Jennifer, Rory, and Phoebe are the names of their children. Bill now lives in New Mexico. Bill is and will be for awhile one of the richest men in the world and the head of Microsoft Corporation.

Bill Gates is important to me for many reasons. In 2000 Bill and Melinda Gates gave billions of dollars to charity and still do every year. Bill should be lots of people’s heroes because he has been so much help and probably saved thousands of kids and adults. Bill keep on going- you are doing great!
