Bill Gates was born William Henry Gates III on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington, in the U.S. His father was William H. Gates, Sr, a lawyer, and his mother was Mary Maxwell Gates, a board member of First Interstate Bank System and the United Way.
Bill grew up with both parents. They were an English- German family. He went to church and attended the Lakeside School. Life was easy for him even though his parents wanted him to be a lawyer. He went to Harvard College but dropped out in his sophomore year when he decide to start his own company. It was never said if Bill had a Hero.
You could describe Bill as intelligent, persistent, honest generous, kindhearted. There are many more, other words you could use to describe him. When he started his own company, he was partners with Paul Allen. He has provided thousands of people with jobs. He gives millions of dollars to charity every year.
Bill Gates and his wife are the founders of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He pledges to give his $58 billion fortune to his charity rather than leave it with his children. He provided the Bill Gates Scholarship. Bill didn't have more than one career. He stuck to being the founder of Microsoft.
Bill Gates is my hero because he has provided a way for us to communicate with other people across the world, and has helped a lot of people, men, women and children who need the financial help. He has also inspired me to be independent and to do what I want to do instead of following my parents' dreams for me.
