My hero is named Barbara Park. She is My hero because she inspired me to read chapter books. At age 5 my mom and I read her Junie B Jones series. We took turns reading every other page.
I have already read her all of her Junie B Jones books. I still remember the middle of kindergarten when my teacher learned I could read. She said "Wow, I never knew how good of a reader you were".
That is why Barbara Park is My Hero.
"Barbara lives in Arizona with her husband. She has received over 40 awards, including 25 Children's Choice."
