One of my favorite teachers is Ms. Beverly Edwards. Throughout third grade she helped learn the enjoyment in reading, how assignments can be enjoyable, all in a very kind way. I have had many teachers being in 5th grade now and I liked them all but she helped me a lot.

I remember her most for teaching me how reading could be fun. I can also recall the unbearable free reading times in the 2nd grade. I never enjoyed many books at that time. The next year I found out that there was only one I read and that was also Ms. Edwards’ favorite, Harry Potter. Although it’s not my favorite series anymore I think that the shared interest got me to enjoy third grade.

I can easily recall some teachers in 3rd grade that left you without an answer when you asked something. She never did that though. This is how it went: I asked, she answered me in a way that I surely understood.

She was a really a fun teacher that I enjoyed very much. That’s why I chose her to by one of my heroes.
