My hero is an amazing person named Brianna Donovan. I choose Brianna as my hero because she changed many people's lives. On August 29, 2006, Brianna died in a car accident because she wasn't wearing a seat belt. Her death was one of the most devastating things that could possibly happen to her family and friends. But what her goals were in life and what she achieved, is what makes her a hero to many others and myself.

Brianna was born on December 31, 1988. She had two sisters and one brother. Brianna was an all honor student. School was the most important thing in her life. She was an outstanding dancer. Brianna had been dancing since she was 3 years old. Her second family was at an amazing place called Academy of Dance. I knew Brianna through my sister as she danced with her for many years there. Brianna also played field hockey and made the varsity team in her freshman year. She was a very popular person and many people loved her.

Brianna changed the lives of many people, because of her accident, her family created the Brianna Donovan Foundation to give out scholarships to college bound students to further their education and to help enforce you to wear your seatbelt. "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Helen Keller. Many people from the town of Longmeadow, and East Longmeadow walked in the Stroll for Strength walk to raise money for the communities in honor of Brianna and Mr. Pissani. It was held at the Longmeadow High School this year and this past year. Brianna was going to graduate from the East Longmeadow High School this past year.

In the dancing world at Academy of Dance they wore a blue ribbon. They wore blue ribbons during every dance for the next year to honor her. Blue was Brianna's favorite color and they wore it in each and every dance in honor of her. Brianna had inspired many of the dances they performed. Dancing was her life and the people she danced with were her family. She will always be in our hearts, and the ones who loved her will always remember her.
