A hero is someone you can count on, and will be there for you and also help you. A hero is also someone you can trust. They make themselves know they are heroes.

My hero is Christopher Columbus. I chose Christopher Columbus because he had found new lands and countries. Christopher Columbus was born on August 25 or October 31, 1451 and died on May 20, 1506. Christopher Columbus was a navigator and an explorer. He had three ships, the Santa Maria, the Pinta, and the Nina. He had sailed four trips or more. Columbus’s first voyage was a success; he had landed in the Canary Islands, which was owned back, then by the Castile. He had restocked the provisions and made repairs.

Like I said before, Columbus has been on many trips. The third and fourth voyages were also a success.

Christopher Columbus was born in Italy. And he died outside Valladolid, Spain. In October 1499, he sent two ships to Spain, asking the court of Spain to appoint a royal commissioner to help him govern. During Columbus’s stint as a governor and viceroy, Columbus had been accused of governing tyrannically. He was arrested a few days later. Columbus and his brothers lingered in jail for six weeks before the busy king ordered their release.

Christopher Columbus inspires me because he found these new lands and different environments. That is why Christopher Columbus is my hero.
