Carrie Underwood

by Annalise from Loveland

In the year 2005, at the young age of 22, Carrie Underwood set American Idol records to be the first country singer to win American Idol. At first she was unknown to the country, but now every house hold knows the name Carrie Underwood. Currently she lives in Brentwood, Tennessee.

My hero has 14 million albums sold world wide and has earned 5 Grammies; American Idol has shaped her from a shy Oklahoma girl to a country superstar! She married Mike Fisher the professional hockey player in 2010 and is still married today. In 2010 she played a inspiring role as a youth group leader in "Soul Surfer" that encouraged Bethany Hamilton

Carrie Underwood has a personal impact on my life because ever since I was little I have loved to sing! And when I first heard "Jesus take the Wheel" I was inspired! She is also my spiritual hero because she holds a high status while professing her faith.   Her music pulled me through a rough time in my life when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Carrie Underwood has and always will be a big part of my life!
