The princess of Wales, better known as Lady Di, was born at Park House on July 1st, 1961.
She was the youngest daughter. She grew up in a small family of nobility with two sisters and one brother. She received her first education from governesses but at the age of nine she went to a boarding school.
In 1977, she settled in London where she met Prince Charles of Wales. On July 29th 1981 she married him in St. Paul Cathedral in London. She had two sons: Prince William and Prince Henry. She dedicated her life to caring for their children. From 1986 the press began to publish rumors of adultery and marital crisis and the marriage ended in March 1994 when Diana agreed to divorce Charles.
In the following years Diana appeared in numerous events for the most marginalized sectors of society. All her public appearances received special treatment from the media and even her hair and clothes were imitated by people. She generated fifteen million pounds in advetising from manufacturers of items she used.
Meanwhile the press related her to different men. The last man with whom she was related was the original Egyptian millionaire Dodi Al Fayed. Both were killed in a tragic car accident while trying to avoid the paparazzi inside the Alma tunnel in Paris. Lady Di was buried in her hometown.
