Our Hero was the great Philosopher Plato.

When Plato was a young man, he went to listen to Socrates, and learned a lot from Socrates about how to think, and what sort of questions to think about. When Socrates died it was a great loss to Plato and he started to write down some of the things he had talked about with him. He then started to write down his own thoughts about philosophy and life itself. One of his earlier works is the Republic, which describes what Plato thought would be a better form of government than the government of Athens.

Plato lived in Athens, Greece, studying with Socrates.

Plato lived circa 472-347 B.C.

I look up to Plato because he was so smart. He taught a lot of people and he also sought knowledge just for the sake of knowing. I want to learn a lot and do a lot just like Plato.
