Their leader is Dalit activist Gauthama Prabhu. He reaches out to a kindred soul Venerable Pannavati, a Buddhist nun and, more importantly, an African-American from the Civil Rights era, who understands the plight of the disenfranchised. Together, they work to uplift the Untouchables.
