AWARDED FELIX HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY PEACE PRIZE

Argentina's Estela Carlotto, President of the human rights group Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo after she is awarded the the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Peace Prize in UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011.

The Felix Houphouet-Boigny Peace Prize honours living individuals or institutions that have made a significant contribution to promoting, seeking, safeguarding or maintaining peace.

The Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo is a human rights organisation which tries to locate babies kidnapped during the Argentine dictatorship era known as the "Dirty War" (1976 - 1983).
