Born on March 3rd, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland Alexander Graham Bell was and still is a hero to many people. Alexander lived with his parents Alexander Melville Bell and Eliza Grace Symonds Bell. Alexander was very intelligent and had a great education. He started his full education at The University of Edinburgh and The University of College London at which he later got his degree in math and science. Alexander soon began to invent the telephone at age 29. A year later he married Mabel Hubbard in the year 1877. Along with Mabel Alexander had two sons, who at birth died of Tuberculosis. When his sons passed on Alexander tried again and received two healthy daughters.

When Alexander was only 10 years old he made a plea to his father to have his middle name changed like his brothers. At his 11th birthday Alexander's father changed his middle name to Graham as a present- Alexander Graham Bell. Since Alexander was 10 and 11 he has been inventing, because he was inventing at such a young age Alexander had experienced with it and had lots more creativity then he would have.

Alexander Graham Bell had a couple of influences that had a great impact on his decision to invent. Alexander was extremely influenced by a group of deaf children that he worked with. The children made Alexander want to change something in the world and make it a better place. Seeing as though his mother and sister were both entirely deaf his influence was very large. Alexander was inspired by his influence and was led to making a machine for the deaf so they could understand better. This machine later grew more complex and was named the Telephone.

Alexander Graham Bell's experiment wasn't a walk in the park, he ran into many obstacles on the way. Some obstacles involved were Alexander's two sons dying of Tuberculosis during his inventing process. Another rough time for Alexander was the time, effort, and work he put into the telephone throughout his timeline. Alexander got through many of his obstacles by doing things he enjoyed like working with the deaf and being around family and people he cared about.

Throughout Alexander's many accomplishments two stood out the most, his "speech machine" he had invented for the deaf and his telephone. Both were very complex and involved a lot of work. Alexander accomplished one or more great inventions, the telephone being his biggest. When the telephone was first invented it could not be taken with you like the modern day phone because it was mounted on the wall and could call short distances. The design has changed a lot throughout history and Alexander has all the credit for it.

Alexander Graham Bell was a very intelligent person and invented a extraordinary project. He was working and teching the deaf when he was informed his mother and sister who were complete mutes (completely deaf). When Alexander taught the deaf he showed them how to communicate with other people and to ignore the fact that they were a little bit different from everyone else. Alexander Graham Bell's telephone idea is used now and was used back when Alexander had invented and supplied it to other people. The telephone was very complex and took a lot of his time to make it. The fact that Alexander Graham Bell accomplished the invention of such a useful tool that most people use now shows just how smart people are.

Overall Alexander has accomplished many things and is a hero to me and to many other people. He had a life of exciting things and normality and is a great influence, who has taken the time to change the world by inventing the telephone and helping many children. To me Alexander is a great person to look up to because of the things he did to try to help people and the struggles he went through which has had an effect on my life because I am able to get through struggles like he did.
