Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis

by Ashley from USA

My hero, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onasis, was born in 1929 and died in 1994. Although most remember her as our first lady, she is also remembered for her grace and beauty. After the tragic death of her husband, no one left her alone. Jacqueline had two children, Caroline Bouvier, who was born in 1957, and her son John, Jr. who was born between the election of 1960 and Inauguration Day.

Jacqueline had a difficult life, but she overcame everything. Jacqueline lived in many different places especially when she was in college. She lived in Washington, D.C., Newport, Rhode Island, and France.

Jacqueline did many things in her life time. She attended the George Washington University where she graduated and took a job as an “Inquiring Photographer” for a newspaper company. She married John F. Kennedy in 1953. She became the first lady of United States of America after her husband, John F. Kennedy, was elected President of the United States. She was considered a great first lady. She remodeled the entire White House and opened it to the public.

She is a hero because she was a great supporter of her husband and the nation; she was also a great wife and a great mother. She started new trends and fashion, and was a role model because she overcame challenges. If she were alive today, she would be a great influence on us all. She has made a difference in my life because she taught me to care more for others and that not every one has a perfect life. She also taught me to be more caring and compassionate.
