I walked into my classroom to see a teacher full of smiles and laughing. Suddenly, I knew this was going to be a great year. Her name is Shannon Arnett!|
Shannon (Mrs. Arnett to me) is my 5th grade homeroom teacher. She is my hero because she inspired me to become a teacher when I grow up. The history started when she was born on July 10th. Her heroes are her parents because they always inspired her to be the best person she could be. She grew up in Northern Michigan with one brother. Her brother is married and has 4 kids. As a kid, she always loved school and loved to read. Evan and Arielle are her two kids. Her husband’s name is Alan.
Before she could become a teacher she went to college for 5 years. She is currently teaching fifth grade at L.T. Ball Intermediate School in Tipp City, Ohio. Mrs. Arnett chose to be a teacher because she wanted to teach kids that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Also, she wanted to be a teacher because it’s important to have positive people getting students excited about learning.
When she was in the fourth grade her grandfather died in a plane crash. About 3 years ago her mother was in an accident and had a brain injury. Mrs. Arnett’s life has been very interesting.
Mrs. Arnett makes a great impact on kids' lives. She has taught 4 grades: 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th. From school, Mrs. Arnett has 30 additional credit hours and has participated in numerous workshops and seminars. So far, she has taught for fourteen years. She is very proud that she still has a love for learning and is constantly trying to find new things to get students excited about learning. For fourteen years she has liked teaching and she still does.
Mrs. Arnett showed me that your students really look up to you and respect you. One of the common things Mrs. Arnett says is that you can do anything if you try. In my opinion, the best teacher anyone could have is right here in L.T. Ball Intermediate School, Tipp City, Ohio, and her name is Mrs. Arnett.
