Independence Hall, Philadelphia, PA
One of the most sacred shrines in American history, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted and signed in July of 1776, and where the Constitution of the United States was debated, drafted and signed.
When Abraham Lincoln visited here on his inaugural trip to Washington he had this to say, "I have never had a feeling politically that did not spring from the sentiments embodied in this Declaration of Independence."
