How To Participate in the My Hero Project: | |||
| People from all over the world are visiting MY HERO, the interactive educational website. Visitors read about great figures like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mark Twain, and others, including many local heroes. They suggest their own heroes and write short biographies about them. Children honor parents and parents children. From peacemakers such as Nelson Mandela to scientific visionaries like Albert Einstein, the My Hero web page has provided thousands of children and their parents a chance to tell the world about the people who they most respect and admire. In honoring others, we can begin to realize our own power and potential. | |||

| The MY HERO Project combines cutting-edge technologies
with timeless values in an exciting resource that opens
windows to the world around us. We invite you and your
family, classroom or organization to join us as we
circle the globe via the Internet in search of real life
heroes. The web site is produced under the auspices of Libraries for the Future, a nonprofit organization. The My Hero site is funded entirely by the donations of time and money from sponsors who understand the need for positive role models in our society, especially for children. A MY HERO video tape is available to teachers and organizations upon request.
View the MY HERO short film. This is a public service announcement for the MY HERO project. Broadcast copies are available for cable and broadcast stations. Help us spread the word. Please notify myhero@myhero.com if you are interested in obtaining a copy of the video tape.
