Anne Frank as a teenager
Anne Frank as a teenager

Anne Frank was a teenage girl who was forced into hiding during World War II. Anne was a Jewish girl who was born in Frankfurt, Germany. She was born on June 12, 1929 and she passed away in March in the year 1945.

During the war Anne went to three different concentration camps: Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, and Auschwitz-Birkenau. Her family was Jewish and they were forced into hiding during World War II. Hitler believed that all Jewish people should be killed. So Anne went into hiding with her family during the war but were found eventually and sent to concentration camps. Anne and her family saved many lives by letting them hide with them. They hid above Anne’s father’s auto shop. Anne had many struggles in life but she was a very strong person and pulled through.

Anne was a very creative writer. She wrote many books but none of them were published except for her diary which was never meant to be a book.

Did you know that Anne Frank hid with her family for 25 months? Her family had to stay completely still for 10 out of the 24 hours of the day. Sadly Anne’s mother died in Auschwitz on January 6, 1945. Anne sadly died of typhus in Bergen-Belsen in the month of April in 1945. Anne Frank is a hero to me because she always looked on the bright side of things. She had a very tough life but Anne always found the good in everything that was going on. That is why Anne is a hero to me.
