Angelina Jolie is a famous actress. She has acted in many movies like Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, Wanted in 2008, and Changeling in 2008. Also, she has voice acted in some cartoons, like Kung Fu Panda in 2008 and Shark Tale in 2004. Jolie is a famous actress, so she has a lot of money. She doesn’t only use it to go shopping; she uses it to help poor children too.

On March 10, 2002, Jolie adopted her first child, seven-month-old Maddox Chivan. Three of six of her husband Brad Pitt and Angelina's children are adopted. They give these children a good environment in which to live. She wants other people to help unfortunate children to have good environments in which to live or learn as well.

Jolie has helped many children in refugee camps in other countries too. In February, 2001, she started to visit these camps. Jolie has been to Cambodia, Tanzania, Sudan, Colombia, Jordan, Sierra, Pakistan, Thailand, and lots of other places. She didn’t just give them money, she went to visit them too. She wants everyone to be helpful like her. Jolie uses her fame to ask people for donations of time and money. That’s why Angelina Jolie is my hero.
