Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln

My definition of a hero would have to be someone that you can trust and that is always there for you when you need them. They are able to do anything for you and are very helpful and can get along with people well.

Abraham Lincoln was a man who lived with his family in a log cabin in Kentucky. He and his family moved to Indiana and as an 8 year old he helped his dad build a brand new log cabin. There was no particular reason for him moving to a new place. A year after the log cabin was built, his mother died and then his father re-married. When Abraham Lincoln was a young man he had multiple jobs.

He didn’t have that much skill, only one year of schooling, but he still had helped multiple people when he was working on his jobs. The advice that Abraham Lincoln would give to today’s youth would have to be that it takes hard work to achieve your goals like he did to finally become a lawyer. When Abraham Lincoln was a young boy he helped his mother around the house and helped his dad outside and working on building the log cabin.

Abraham Lincoln had multiple jobs like being a surveyor or a post maker he tried to get along with everyone and tried to be accurate in his measurements. He went to school as a lawyer and when he was a surveyor he was elected to the Illinois legislature. Later in his life he became the sixteenth President of America.
