While many people are against Barack Obama, I believe he is a genuine person and really is trying to help make things better for us. He is making a difference in the world and he is also the first African American President to ever be in office. I admire and look up to Barack Obama for many reasons but the three most significant are his loving personality, bravery and his sense of responsibility.

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th 1961 He graduated from Colombia University in 1983. Because of the values his mother taught him, Obama put his law school and corporate life on hold after college and moved to Chicago. Here he became a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods. For three years he worked to help the poor South Side residents cope with a number of plant closings. I think this shows his loving personality because he decided to do something that he knew would help others and make their lives better.

Barack Obama was the first African American candidate to run for presidency and actually win it. Obama has faced the many threats, such as assassination, that all world leaders face, with both grace and inspirational courage. With how the world is today and all the racial problems we have you would assume that an African American wouldn’t be brave enough to run the Country. Obama proved everyone wrong by running for president and getting the spot. Barack Obama is brave enough not to let the fear stop him in his quest to change the country, and the world, for that I believe he is one of the bravest people alive today.

Barack Obama has more responsibilities than anyone else in this world. Some of his most significant responsibilities are to protect the entire US and its citizens, to get troops out of Iraq, to get people jobs, and to work on the economy. Obama is also given the responsibility of Chief Executive by the Constitution, Chief Administrator by the Federal Government, Chief Diplomat, Commander in Chief of the military, and Chief Legislator.

Some people don’t think Obama is doing anything good for our Country but I believe he is a very brave man for being the first African American president ever. He has courage and he is trying to make the world better for the US. He is helping people who have no health care and making sure people who are not employed are getting enough money to live on. I think Obama is doing a wonderful job and is helping our Country a lot. Even though I may not agree with all of his decisions, I believe in the end he will have helped our country to get back on track. For all these reasons, Barack Obama is my hero
