I think Beezie Madden is a hero because she inspires me to try and become what I want to be. I want to be a professional horseback rider some day. Beezie Madden is a very good example of what a professional should be. I liked following Beezie in her quest to be the best in the Olympics this past year. What inspires me most is her unbelievable horsemanship. A horse wouldn’t jump over a 5-foot fence without trusting the person on its back that it is safe. I think Beezie Madden is a good person to look up to because she is a very good rider and every time you watch her you learn something new.
Accomplishments are many with Beezie Madden. First of all, she received the United States Olympic Committee’s Female Equestrian Athlete of the Year in 1993. Soon, she became the first woman rider to reach the Top Three in the Show Jumping World Ranking List in 2004. After that she became the first woman to win over $1 million in the Show Jumping World. Now in 2008 she has become a member of the Olympic Grand Prix Team for the United States.

Over all, Beezie Madden is a pretty interesting person. She has been riding since she was 3 and got her first Olympic gold medal in 2008 for team jumping. I really look up to her for her talent and for her kindness to horses. Some day I would like to ride like her even though there is a very low chance that will happen. I hope that everyone will find her as interesting as I do.
