Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, was a true hero, not only to those she helped but to those who heard about her heroic journey. She was passionate, devoted, affectionate and loving in her work, that changed the world. She was willing to reach out and help others, no matter what condition they were in. She didn’t for the fame, but because she actually cared about them and for them. Even though she was royalty, she identified with the struggles of the common person.

On July 1st, 1961, Diana was born in Norfolk, Britain to the Spencer family. In her early years, she attended Riddlesworth Hall Predatory School. During her school years, she enjoyed playing piano, dancing and science. She completed school in Switzerland at the Institut Alpin Videmanette. After she graduated from school, she worked as a kindergarten teacher at the Young England School in Pimlico. Diana enjoyed her studies and working with young children.

On April 1987, Princess Diana was the first high-status public figure to be photographed holding a child diagnosed with HIV, a form of the AIDs virus. She worked with people of Africa, also diagnosed with AIDs, trying to help them through their lives. The princess also visited those hospitalized with the disease. She also worked to help homeless children, the National AIDs Trust and the Leprosy Mission. She truly showed her compassion for victims of the disease suffering.

Princess Diana’s most widely known contributions to helping the world was her empathy and concern for de-mining landmines in Angola, Africa. Just like she did for AIDs victims, she visited those whose lives were affected by the deadly leftover land bombs from Angola’s earlier wars. Princess Diana also went to sightsee and visit fields that had previously held landmines. Her excursion through the fields pulled at her heartstrings; then she knew she had to do something. The princess wouldn’t stand for innocent children playing in the fields not knowing if that would be a matter of life and death. With support from the HALO Fund, she raised money to help protect other lives from being ruined. Diana loved to help and make others smile through hard times.

Even after the deadly car crash that claimed the lives of both her and her fiancé, Princess Diana still makes an impact in this world. The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, is dedicated to her in honor of the work and effort she put in to making the earth a better place. It has donated over $9 million dollars to youth funds and in total has raised over $70 million dollars around the globe to more than 350 organizations. Its consideration to help people who live in poor conditions is amazing.

In conclusion, Princess Diana cared for everyone and was willing to help those in need. Without her, this world wouldn’t be the same. Diana’s leadership, effort and constant compassion for everyone who has been stricken with misfortune is remarkable.
