Sherlock Holmes

"Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective of the late 19th and early 20th centuries who made his first published appearance in 1887. He was authorised by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes is famous for his prowess at using logic and astute observation to solve cases. He is perhaps the most famous fictional detective, and indeed one of the best known and universally recognizable literary characters."

Now, I will tell you a little information about Sherlock Holmes.

According to Baring-Gould, "Sherlock Holmes was born in Yorkshire, the youngest of three sons of Siger Holmes and Violet Sherrinford. The middle brother, Mycroft, appears in the canon, and the eldest is Sherrinford Holmes. He lived from the year 1881 in an upper-storey at 221B Baker Street, London."

Holmes is not a superhero, he just an ordinary guy with a brilliant intelligence and is an independent student of chemistry with a variety of very curious side-interests.

Just like the other heroes, my hero also has some enemies. He has a wide variety of enemies. His enemies are from the littlest criminals to the most risky guys. Two names of Holmes’ enemies are Professor James Moriarty (also known as "the Napoleon of Crime") and Colonel Sebastian Moran, who is the second most dangerous guy in London.

Some names who have relationships with Holmes:

a. Dr. Watson : Dr. Watson is Holmes’ good friend and assistant. Most of Holmes' stories are told as narratives by him.

b. Mrs. Hudson : Mrs. Hudson is Holmes’ landlady who is maintained Holmes’ residence.

c. Mycroft Holmes : Mycroft Holmes is Sherlock Holmes’ brother. Mycroft often helps Holmes to solve crimes or cases.

d. Professor Moriarty : Professor Moriarty is the most dangerous guy in London. He is also Holmes’ number one enemy. He fell over the Reichenbach Falls because of struggling with Holmes.

e. Irene Adler : Irene Adler is often thought to be the only woman who broke through Holmes' reserve.

f. Lestrade : Lestrade is an Inspector of London’s Police. He often needs some help from Holmes.

g. The Baker Street Irregulars: The Baker Street Irregulars is a group of street children or urchins. This name was made up by Holmes. This group helps Holmes to get more information for cases.

Some of my favourite stories are, "The Adventure of the Final Problem," "The Adventure of the Greek Interpreter," "A Study in Scarlet," "The Adventure of the Empty House," "The Adventure of the Dancing Men," "A Scandal in Bohemia," and many others.

The reason why I adore him so much is because he would not eat for days if he wanted to use his brain at maximum level for solving problems.

I choose him as my hero because of the way he thought or did so inspiring me. It can motivate me to do better and more serious works. I think that he was such a cool and amazing guy.
