My Grandpa the Hero (By: Mina)

It’s a bird, a plane, no it’s John Kahler (my grandpa)! John Kahler is my hero because he is a doctor and saves people’s lives! (He is also my grandpa.) John Kahler is truly my hero!

First of all, John Kahler is my hero because he is a doctor and by doing that, he can keep disease away. That means that we don’t have to worry about getting sick. For example, he does tests on people’s blood to see if there are any germs in them. If there are any germs, he can get the right medicine for them. He also gives people their flu shots, so people do not get sick. If we didn’t have him as a doctor, the world wouldn't be a good place to be.

Lastly, John Kahler is my hero because he travels to save people’s lives! That means if we have a mudslide or an earthquake, he and some other doctors come to the places where the bad things happened. For example, he went to Haiti a couple of times. When he is there, he can go to homes and give sick people shots to get the bad germs out. My grandpa can sure make a change.

Once again John Kahler is my hero because he is a doctor and travels to save people’s lives! GO GRANDPA!!
