J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling was born on July 31st, 1965 in Chipping Sodbury, United Kingdom. J.K Rowling sold more than a quarter million books from her series about a British boy wizard named Harry. The books have been translated into more than 600 languages. Rowling started to write when she was only six years old. She wanted a story about someone like her: bossy, shy, thick glasses, very bookish, and never happier when reading or writing, but she ended up writing it about a boy, where the semi-main character was just like her.

J.K Rowling is very entertaining because she can come up with very good magical moments from the top of her head without even thinking too strongly. And once she types up the magical moment, she can go back and make it even better. Rowling studied French at Exeter University.

J.K Rowling has such great books that when a new one was published, my dad, brother and I would buy one copy and have a contest to see who would be allowed to read it first. When we were competing for the book, I would sneak into the family room and take the book. I read the first book in only 2 hours!
