He married Mary Todd in 1842 and worked as a lawyer, postmaster, and President of the United States America. He died in 1865 on April 15 at 7:00 after being shot by John Wilkes booth at Fords Theater.

Abraham Lincoln was a great president. He was the first Republican president and was reelected in 1864. Before Abraham Lincoln ran for president he ran for Senate.

I think freeing slaves was the greatest thing Abraham Lincoln did. At first when he tried to free the slaves it started the Civil War. Then he signed the Emancipation Proclamation to free four million slaves.

Abraham Lincoln did many great things in his life. He is a hero to me.
