The word hero means "a conqueror, role model, idol, a champion that helps people.” A hero is someone who thinks of others, not only of himself. Heroes accomplish what they want to accomplish. A hero makes a difference in the lives of others. Martin Luther King, Jr. of the U.S.A is a hero because of his belief in civil rights for all people.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1953, he became the pastor of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the founder of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957. He organized black churches to protest peacefully for civil rights.
Martin Luther King, Jr. led the march on Washington, DC in 1963 to call the attention to the need for African Americans to the treated fairly. Despite tension, the march was a success. More than a quarter of a million people attended the event. At the time, it was the largest gathering of protestors in Washington’s history. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the greatest leader in the U.S.A for civil rights.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was a great man who helped African Americans to live in a world that was equal. His qualities were honest, fair, positive, and a good leader. He told the truth, and he was a fair to all people no matter what their color. He was positive because he believed that African Americans could live in a world that was equal.
In conclusion, Martin Luther King, Jr. helped African Americans in the U.S.A. People believed in him because he was honest all the time. He helped people that needed equal rights. They believed in the decisions that he made. He helped everyone in the U.S.A.
