Sarah McGinley

My definition of a hero is a person you can have trust in and rely on to do the right things. A hero should be one of those people who are always going around saying, whatever you want to do you can do it as long as you set your mind to it whatever it is. A hero can be a person, animal or anything that stands out to you. And some people think heroes are sports players. A hero can just be an ordinary person who just stands out and always tries to do the right thing or has accomplished something great. My hero would be a lady named Victoria, from my article, who jumped in front of an uncontrolled car to save a baby’s life and she ended up getting killed herself.

Sarah McGinley is 18 year old mom who saved her one-year old child from an uncontrolled car. This tragedy was in front of her fiancé's house on Nesper Street near Ryan’s Avenue. This tragedy happened when an uncontrolled car came running at her baby child. The mom made a quick run to grab the child. She got a hold of the baby and threw her from the swing the child was on into a bush to safety.

When Sarah threw the child into the bush, she did not have enough time to get away from the car. The car hit Sarah and she died. From her heroic choice to save her child, it saved one person's life in sacrifice for her own. This is why I think that Sarah is the hero from this story. The fifteen-year old girl, who was being given lessons by her dad, was fined 200 hours of community service. The dad was tried for manslaughter because the girl wasn’t of age to drive the car. The dad was held responsible and had to go to jail.

I think that the type of hero that Sarah is would be hero on the spot. I think this because Sarah had one moment to make a choice and it was to save her baby's life. Also I think that she can be classified as a hero of all time. She is a hero of all time because her baby child will always know that her mom risked her life so she could live herself. That is why she is where she is today. These are the two types of heroes I think that Sarah McGinley is.

Now you know what a hero is. It is a person who makes a difference in the world or has done something good with his or her life. These are some qualities that are shown by Sarah McGinley in her heroic adventure. I hope that some of the qualities shown in this story can rub off on you and help you to be a better person and to always try to do the right thing. These are my five paragraphs on my hero, Sarah McGinley.
