BONO

Who is Bono?
Paul David Hewson was born on May 10th 1960 in Dublin, Ireland. He’s better known as Bono, his artist's name. He’s the lead singer of the Irish band U2. He’s married to Alison Stewart and has 4 kids. They live in Killiney Hill, South-Dublin. He’s not an only child, he has got a brother named Norman, and his parents are Iris and Robert.

Why did he do it?
We have chosen for Bono as our hero because he has done so many things for AIDS patients. He has raised over a million dollar for charity by inventing a limited edition ipod. The colour of the ipod is red. Red stands for AIDS. He has done a lot more than raising money for AIDS-patients. He has written a song with Green Day, called “The saints are coming”. This song was dedicated for the victims of disaster what happened in New Orleans.

What does he do?
Bono introduced the red ipod for the AIDS foundation. With this ipod he supports AIDS research and help all over the world. People who buy this ipod automatically donate a part of the money to the AIDS foundation.
