Some kids might think their teachers are strict or they just don’t like them. I love my teacher, Ms. Praytor. She is fun, kind, and really funny. Ms. Praytor is passionate about teaching and she loves the times she spends laughing with her class.

One of the many things Ms. Praytor does is helping the homeless. Ms. Praytor works with people at First Methodist Church and she serves breakfast to the homeless at five o’clock in the morning. Sometimes she prays with them, brings them clothes, and she takes their trays away when they are finished eating. Ms. Praytor has taught me that giving is better than receiving.

Ms. Praytor also helped build a school in Afghanistan in the remote areas. Karen Hughes, who works for George W. Bush, inspired Ms. Praytor to help build a school in Afghanistan after going to Afghanistan and seeing that the women and children were not being treated equally and the children were not being educated. Afghani children now have a school and they read books that Ms. Praytor, and the group of people she helped build the school with, sent.

One day when Ms. Praytor was getting ready to go to work, she felt pain in her brain. She went upstairs to her husband, Mr. Praytor, and she told him she had a pain. Mr. Praytor called 911 and a fire truck soon came to her house and they took her to the hospital. The doctors did not do surgery on her because they thought she would die. They soon found out that she had a brain aneurysm. A brain aneurysm is when your vessels pop. Ms. Praytor had perseverance because she didn’t think she was going to die; now today Ms. Praytor is very healthy and energetic. Ms. Praytor taught me to have a lot of perseverance and to never give up.

Ms. Praytor makes fourth grade great! She is always very expressive and fun. Her favorite subject to teach is social studies because she loves to teach about global issues. I now hope you see why Ms. Praytor is a great teacher and my hero.

For the security of our children in Afghanistan, I have been asked by officials to have you please remove the page below from your website.

As you know, it is a volatile situation in Afghanistan. Showing the name of the school and the connection to the US and a church is not wise.

Please let me know when you have done this. I am no longer at Trinity Episcopal School. I retired this year, although I still work with teachers at Trinity.

Thank you.
