Ray Emery was born in Hamilton Ontario on September 28th, 1982. He is a professional goaltender for the Ottawa Senators in the NHL. He goes by the nicknames Razor and Sugar Ray. On June 20, 2008 the Senators waived Ray a contract. Ray Emery is a man I consider a hero.

Ray Emery was very competitive and he was his own critic. He tried out for eight different junior teams, and finally started his junior career in 1998. The team won three out of twenty two games. Ray was named rookie of the year. He began his NHL career in 2005-2006 season.

In Ray Emery personal life he is known for a flamboyant lifestyle. Ray has numerous tattoos which include initials of his parents and brothers.

Ray Emery is a hero because he does inspiring things in his life. He has had an amazing hockey career. He has been involved in many sports such as soccer, golf and baseball.
