My pappa was in WW2 and he was a medic. Rolen was at his base when his friend was cleaning his gun and Rolen forgot to put the safety on and friend shot Rolen in the thumb and so his platoon went out to war and Rolen was sent home and his platoon got blown out.
So if Rolen's friend did not clean his gun, Rolen would be dead.
