Steven P. Jobs

by Anika Florin

Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 to Joanne Schieble and Abdulafattah Jandali and then adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs in California. Steve Jobs is most definitely a hero in our modern world today for having heroic qualities and creating some of the most impressive computer products in the world.

One of Steve Jobs' character traits is that he is initiative. He absolutely hated how all the other computer companies made their computers: clunky and black. He made another computer company called Apple. Apple's motto is "Think Different". Jobs once said, "Why join the navy if you can be a pirate?"

Another word that describes Jobs is determined. When things were rough, he kept going. Jobs had to be determined to finish the Macintosh before the L.I.S.A team finished the L.I.S.A in order to win the $5,000 bet with John Couch. Jobs also created all those Apple products, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod and computers, and that was no piece of cake. The Apple team fought so much that one guy almost went to Steve's desk and urinated on it. Steve ended up firing that guy a few days later.

Even though there are many, many words that describe Steve Jobs, a third quality would be brave. He had to be very brave while being CEO of two companies, Pixar and Apple. Every day he had to drive back and forth between the two companies. He got kidney stones from driving so much. Steve also had to be brave while facing cancer. His wife, Laurene Powell, and his kids, Reed, Erin and Eve, helped him through cancer and visited him a lot in the hospital.

Steven Paul Jobs will live on forevermore leaving behind his great creations along with his initiative, determination and bravery. In fact, we will all remember him, even the little kindergarteners!
