Seth Rowe

by Jake from Pickerington

A hero is someone who does the right thing no matter how hard it is to do. Heroes don't even mean to do the right thing most of the time. The right thing is just what comes easily to them.

The big question is if it's important to have a hero. In a heartbeat I'd tell you that it is. Without my hero I may not have found God and without my religion I wouldn't be here. So I give my hero all the credit for that.

My hero is Seth Rowe. He is my church's youth pastor and has helped me through struggles in faith and other miscellaneous issues I've had in my life. He always wants to help because it's the right thing to do.

I believe Seth should be in a "Hall of Fame" for heroes because in the long run, he saved my life multiple times. If that isn't a hero than I don't know what is. He helped me battle my depression. He always gets in your business and then makes the ground shake with questions. I'll admit, it gets on my nerves sometimes, but I can honestly say that it helped me battle violent tendencies, hatred, doubting God, and other things. The point is that Seth should be in a "Hall of Fame".

I had the opportunity to ask Seth a series of questions about HIS hero. Here's the interview.

1) What is YOUR definition of "hero"?
"A person who inspires me to live a certain way"

2) Who is/was your hero?
"Steve Rowe"

3) Why is this person your hero?

6) How did knowing this person affect you in the long run?
"Helped me worry less and enjoy life/the people in my life more"

7) What did this person directly do to help you?
"Feed me. Haha. Spent time with me and gave me a front row seat to his life"

8) How did this person affect your relationship with God?
"He raised me in the church, so the foundation of my faith I owe to him but I had my own spiritual awakening so yeah."

9) What did your hero inspire you to do?
"He inspired me to treat people well."

10) How is your daily life today affected by the decisions of your hero?
"I'm just a more positive person because of him."
