My hero is Ryan Smith because he is a good hockey player and that is what I want to be when I am a teenager. He is one of the best hockey players in the NHL. He inspires me to be a better hockey player. He is my favorite hockey player because he stands in front of the goaltender to screen him. Also, he played for Canada and my favorite hockey team, Edmonton, but now he is playing for the New York Islanders. When they are down by 1 goal he always tries to tie the game. That is what I like about him.

Ryan Smith and I have some things in common. We both have the passion for the sport and we both like similar players like Wayne Gretzky and Bobby Orr. Ryan Smith had a dream to be in the NHL and it came true. I have the same dream. If he can do it maybe I can too. He has shown me that if you have a dream, you go with it. Also, dreams do come true.
