Sojourner Truth and Malala Yousafzai

by Sebastian from Sheridan Tech

"I speak not for myself but for those without voice... those who have fought for their rights... their right to live in peace, their right to be treated with dignity, their right to equality of opportunity, their right to be educated."
Malala Yousafzai (live.worldbak.org (live.worldbank.org))

Malala Yousafzai and Sojourner Truth both fought for women rights since they were young. Malala was always wanting to change her daily life and how the country works. She wanted women to have equal rights and to have an education. Sojourner as born into slavery and then made it out and gained her freedom. She went around the U.S.A spreading her speeches and knowledge to change the world. She had her famous speech "Ain't I Women?". She changed the way some people think just with that one speech. Both of these women spread a good message and one continues to do so. If I had the chance to help I would because I believe everyone needs to know about these issues of women rights or equal rights.

First, these messages that Sojourner and Malala want to spread are good and positive. To help them spread this message I would go around passing slips to join Malala in her rallies/speeches. She goes around and spreads her ideas and facts. People need to go hear her and be aware of the problems going on with equal rights. So I would be helping Malala by growing her audience a lot more. Women's Rights deserves to have light shown on it. In Pakistan, most girls cannot get an education or get treated differently from men.

Secondly, I would rally to spread these messages. I would gather as many people as I can to walk down the streets of big cities and have posters saying a nice positive message. This will make people aware of the situation going on around them. People will see us with our posters and further their knowledge and research on the problem. Then they would want to help change the world with us. Equal rights needs to come to the world. We would play powerful speeches from Sojourner and Malala to the group.

Lastly, opening a charity for the people in countries suffering from not getting equal rights. They can use this money to get an education and pay off expenses. People will donate to make a change and each cent will count. Since Malala is still alive we can partner with her and make a change. She will bring the audience and we will be getting donations to serve so many people having these problems.
