Traci Birkholtz

by Taylor from Lincoln

Traci (my mother) gave birth to me in Hastings, Minnesota. I wasn't planned, and I was her first, however it didn't matter to her. One thing she did plan, was that she was going to love me no matter what.

Standing 5'4 my mother has always been a strong woman inside and out. She raised and provided for me as a single mother most of my life. She's always been there for me, and always gave me everything I've wanted. I remember our little "play dates" where we would play toys together. She would walk me to the park and we would jump on my trampoline together.

My mother had always been caring and nurturing. She always cared about my feelings and always helped me with school. She may not have known exactly what she was doing with my homework, but she sat there and was willing to try. Sure we get in fights, but one thing about my Mother is she always forgives me and is always ready to try everything over again.

She and I have always shared a special connection when it comes to our feelings. We both share a lot of the same interests, such as music, hobbies, and both of our love runs deep for each other. When I was 15 years old she had married my now step-dad and had her first baby girl.

Her name is Isabel Jo. Shortly after Isabel was born (2 years after), my mother had my now 1 year old brother Mason. My Mom is the strongest and most heroic person I know. She has led a tough life, came out conquering, and she's now raising a family at the age of 39. She truly is my rock, and my hero.
