TERRY FOX

Terry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba He plays basketball. He was the smallest on the team and the best. When he turned 18 his leg started to hurt. The doctor told him that he had leg cancer. They cut his leg off with a bone saw. They put on his  amputated a prosthetic leg. After that happened he started to run. On April 20, 1980 he started his run in Newfoundland. He ran 8,530 km Everybody started to raised money. Because of him they raised 25 MILLION dollars. He didn't finish his run because his cancer spread to his lungs. He stopped his run in Thunder Bay. He went to the doctor then the doctor told him that cancer spread to his lungs. He died June 28 1981
