Terry Fox

Terry Fox is a true Canadian hero. He may have died many years ago but his desire to beat cancer continues today. People from around the world participate in the Terry Fox run every year for cancer research fundraising. I have selected Terry Fox as a lifesaver hero because his run across Canada was all in the name of research fundraising. Billions of dollars have been raised because of his efforts and that research has helped save the lives of many today. If Terry were alive today, they would have found a treatment for the cancer he had. They have found a treatment...his life would have been saved today because of the Terry Fox run across Canada. It started out as a simple idea but is now anything but simple.
