Tonya Lynn Hawley

My hero is my mother. She is my hero because she helps me with a lot of things. She helps me with my problems...with my friends, and any other times that I need her. She is my hero for a lot of reasons actually. She has been in my life since day one. She raised me by herself for about 8 or nine years. Then my step-dad came into my life. He has helped my mom in a lot of ways. My mom also had one foot surgery, and one neck surgery. At the time my step-dad also had a back surgery. So, things with money were getting really tight, but they had pulled it off. I don't know how she did it. She supports me in everything that I do. I am thankful to have a mother like her. She keeps me going everyday. She gives me the strength that I have because without her I do not think that I would have the motivation that I do now. She wants me to become a mature young lady, and make the best decisions. She only wants the best for me in life. So, I understand why she says no to certain things that I want to do, or to certain people that I want to hang out with. She only cares about me.

I understand that I am not always going to be able to get my way all of the time. I should be more appreciative of the decisions that she makes for me because those are the decisions that are going to affect me in the long run. I shouldn't be disappointed when she tells me no because I know that it's because she just wants me to make good decisions, have a great life, and doesn't want me to slack off and not become a good person someday.

I value my mother's and my relationship because there is never going to be another mother like her. I know that if I lose her, I will never get her back. That is why i want to treat her with as much respect as possible. I know that I may not show her respect sometimes, and I am sorry for all of the times that I have disrespected her, or any of her decisions that she has made for me. All she is doing is good. I will never stop caring for her because she is always going to be that one I want in my life forever. She has always been in my life. I will never stop caring for her because she has been around me my whole life for all of these years, and I want to return the favor, and make her proud. I will always be there for her whenever she needs me!
