Tom Brady

Tom Brady is a hero. He is a hero because he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Tom Brady was born on August 3rd, 1977 and grew up in San Mateo. He attended St. Gregory's and played basketball and baseball. He has three sisters. When Tom Brady was four he went to his first football game. It was the Dallas Cowboys vs. the San Francisco 49ers. That was the first time he thought about playing professional football. Tom Brady liked all sports. Tom played in neighborhood pickup games and Tom would get clobbered. Tom faced some early problems, like in high school, he had appendicitis. Tom decided to go to college at Michigan and played football. Tom was the 199th player chosen in the draft; his teammates had teased Tom about his skinny appearance.

Tom had some challenges.  First was  in 1999 when Tom had to fight to play quarterback. Next was making the playoffs.  In 2002 Tom threw the most interceptions he threw 14 of them, and Tom's efficiency rating dropped to 85.7.  He also lost Super Bowl XLII against the New York Giants.

Some accomplishments Tom has are:  in college Tom led the Michigan Wolverines to finish the season winning 20 of the 25 games he started.  He led them to the Citrus Bowl. Tom led the Patriots to win Super Bowl XXXVLLL and Tom had a lot of awards. He has two MVP awards; Tom is the youngest quarterback in history to win a Super Bowl. Tom also threw the most touchdowns in a season with 50. Tom also went to 4 pro bowls in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2008. With Tom as quarterback they were the Parties of the decade.

An important lesson I learned was if you carry out your dreams you just might succeed in what you believe in.
