Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow took the nation by storm when he took Kyle Orton's spot as starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Tebow quickly became a household name for both his athletic ability and his religious affiliations. Tim Tebow should be considered a hero because he is charitable, humble and athletic.

Timothy Richard Tebow or Tim Tebow was born on August 14, 1987 in Manila, Philippines, where he lived for the first five years of his life. Tebow was born in a Christian mission so he was immediately immersed in a Christian lifestyle. When Tebow moved back to the United States he quickly became involved in sports like baseball, basketball, and most notably, football. Tebow's career started to take off when he was recruited by the University of Florida, where he played starting quarterback for three years. In 2007, when Tebow won the NFL's most coveted award, The Heisman, he was the only sophomore to win the award in NCAA history. In the 2010 NFL draft Tebow was picked up by the Denver Broncos.

Tebow never let go of his Christian roots, he went on to form the Tim Tebow Foundation whose mission statement is "To Bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need". This shows Tebow's willingness to put his time and money into a greater cause.

Tebow's Humility is shown time and time again on the football field. Tebow has said in numerous interviews that the win was God's doing, not his. Tebow's signature move "The Tebow" shows him praying which is being humble and thanking others.

Tebows athleticism is what got him his job in the first place. If he wasn't athletic enough to play for a professional football team he would not make millions.  Without his money, Tebow wouldn't be able to give a lot of money to charity like he does now.  Tebow's athleticism shows Christian athletes everywhere that it is okay to show their faith on the field and to not feel judged.

Tim Tebow is inspirational because he stays true to what he believes and is a good example for America. Tebow's charity, humility, and athleticism shows that he is a deserving hero.
