Walt Disney

Walter Elias Disney was born in December 5, 1901. He is remembered for his memorable characters and Disney World and Disneyland's mascot, Mickey Mouse. Walt has won 32 awards and that is a lot more than any other or cartoonist or actor has won in a year. He has a big family. He has a wife, two daughters and one younger brother named Roy Disney. After Walt’s death his younger brother Roy took over the Walt Disney studios and company and all the rights to the Disney items. And he created other memorable characters such as Donald Duck and his lovely partner Daisy Duck, Goofy and Mickey’s loyal dog Pluto.

And he also created his cutest and funniest characters Chip and Dale and finally Clarabelle cow, Horace the Horse and finally Mickey’s sweetheart Minnie Mouse and there are several more Disney characters that are famous. And there is one more I forgot to mention, Walt Disney’s first character way before Mickey Mouse was Oswald Rabbit - and there are two more rabbits I forgot to name, Rodger Rabbit and Rabbit from Disney’s Winnie the Pooh.

Winnie the Pooh was originally a book but Disney made the book into a short cartoon movie film called Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1969). Walt Disney is my hero because he made a lot of really good cartoons such as Mickey Mouse cartoons, Minnie Mouse cartoons, Pluto cartoons, Donald Duck cartoons, Daisy Duck Cartoons and his very very first cartoon ever to movie theatres Steamboat Willie (1928).

Back then they didn’t have TV’s so they went to movie theatres to go see Walt Disney cartoons and, yes, movies. But wait there is much more. Walt Disney didn’t also just create Mickey Mouse, he also did the voice of Mickey Mouse and also Minnie made her very First appearance in the cartoon. Again Walt Disney is my hero because he made a lot of good movies that made us laugh and cry. Here are a number of movies and years they came out in. Note that I don’t know some of the years some of his movies came out.

But then Something was happening to Walt he had to go the hospital and then he found out that he had lung Cancer. He tried to fight it but Walt Disney World wasn’t even built yet but before he had cancer he had plans for another theme park in Orlando Florida. He was going to call it Walt Disney World, similar to the really popular theme park called Disneyland. He didn’t call it Walt Disney land but Disney just plan simple Disneyland.

Finally in December 15, 1969 the world said goodbye to Walt Disney. He died silently in his sleep. Walt Disney World was still in construction. They had to stop building because without Walt Disney there was no point in building but Walt’s will said that he leaves Disney Studios and Walt Disney World and land to his faithful brother Roy Disney. Roy Disney is Walt’s Younger Brother. He is currently living and running the Disney Studios and takes ownership of Walt Disney companies and Walt Disney’s Theme Parks all around the world.
