William H Lorenz, was born in 1949, and passed away in 2010. He passed away when he was very young, and he was a good man and, tried to make things right. I wish I could have met him.

When he was a kid his family was very poor. Before joining the Navy for 4 years to fight in the Vietnam War, he was a farmer. His community loved him.

During his whole life he worked exponentially hard. He was a very generous man, his neighbors always would say. He could fix any piece of machinery and he did it for his neighbors for free when it would usually cost them more than $100. He also grew crops that he sometimes gave fresh fruits and vegetables to his neighbors for free, too.

He served in the Navy for 4 years to help save lives. He was very inspirational. When he finished the war he worked for 18 hours a day on a farm. He never gave up.

He would never sit down. The only time he would sit down was when he was eating or sleeping. He was one of the first people to say reuse, reduce and recycle by fixing things instead of throwing things away. He died at only 61. It was sad I never got to meet him. Finally I'm proud to say that I have a family member that served this nation.
