My hero, Shaun White, is inspirational because he has shown great perseverance even when he has met with failure. Shaun inspires me to keep trying and never give up. For these reasons I have chosen him as my hero.

Shaun is famous because he is the first person to compete in the summer and winter X-games (skate boarding in the summer and snow boarding in the winter). Shaun was born on September 3, 1986 in Carlsbad, California. He lives wherever there’s fresh snow. Shaun was born with a heart defect that still bothers him today. He went professional when he was only 13 and he won the Olympic super pipe gold medal when he was only 19 years old. Shaun was inspired to try snowboarding by his older brother, Jesse, when he was six years old. This opened the door to a successful future for Shaun, even at such an early age.

By studying the life of Shaun White, he has taught me that it is important to follow your dream and keep trying until you succeed. I admire Shaun because he has perseverance and he always gives it his all and has a good time. Another reason Shaun is my hero is because he has good sportsmanship with the other snow boarders.

Shaun White is my hero because he overcame many obstacles in his life and he has persevered to accomplish many goals. Shaun continues to follow his dreams and to keep doing what he likes best.
