"The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who, in their grueling travels across trackless lands in prehistoric times, looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through space, at full speed, above all obstacles, on the infinite highway of the air."(biography .com editors) This was one of the most famous quote said by the brothers .The quote means even our ancestors wanted to fly. The brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright were one of the most celebrated inventors of their time. The Wright Brothers are heroes as without them we wouldn't be able to fly to different countries, for different purposes.
The Wright Brothers were influenced by their father Who had always had dreamed to fly, and had bought the brothers a lot of model gliders to play with. He pushed the brothers to do things that would build character ,including helping out with assembling things. He also pushed them to make things that interest them. He never said no to their requests of materials so they kept learning and creating.

Wilbur and Orville Wright were heroes to many as they were persistent while making their planes and showed fortitude when they flew their planes.During the 1800's when the wright brothers were creating their first plane,all of the people wanted a way to travel faster ,safer and more efficiently. Wilbur use to say "If birds can glide in the sky,why can't I" (wright brothers official website fans /editors) This quote shows their fortitude as flying planes was their passion even if they could die in a crash.Additionally the Wright brothers were persistent."If we worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true really is true, then there would be little hope for advance"(wright bros official website 2003) This quote shows that they believed in themselves and were persistent. When one of their plane crashed they would find their mistake solve the problem and then build another one. This shows persistence because they didn't give up or quit after long hours of work . The brothers also faced a lot of doubt from critics, but they still overcame that and the failure of their planes to become one of the most celebrated inventors of the modern world.
Their long term impacts on the world were tremendous, and without their success we still wouldn't be as advanced. We would still be traveling with ships to other countries instead of airplanes. Their discovery was one of the most important in history. The discovery helped us travel to space too.
They are heroes to the world as they made space travel possible and Neil Armstrong carried a piece of their first plane to the moon. So I think they are the best inventors on earth As no other inventor was able to solve the problem of heavier than air flight as quickly and efficiently as they did.
