The Wright Brothers

The Wright Brothers are my heroes because they were the first to invent airplanes. They wanted to invent something that no man had yet to do. The Wright Brothers are made up of Orville and Wilbur Wright.

The Wright Brothers invented a plane that would glide in the wind. After they invented the plane they wanted to take it in the sky but, the first that time that they tried to fly, the wind was blowing too hard for the plane to glide. Then one day when they went outside, the weather was perfect for the plane to glide. The brothers were the first to invent a plane, then fly the plane and lived to tell about their experience.

Then after that, the brothers built a motor to put on planes. Then the plane could fly if it was windy outside or not. The plane could also fly faster. Then people would use planes to fly across the world. On December 17, 1903 Orville and Wilbur were able to do what a man had yet to do.

The Wright Brothers took many trips. One of the places they went to was called Kitty Hawk. When they went on these trips the brothers would fly on the plane that they had invented. One time they went on the plane that would glide in the wind. Then they went on the plane that had a motor. They were the first to invent planes with motors.

The brothers lived in Dayton, Ohio. Wilbur Wright lived from 1867 to 1912 and Orville Wright lived from 1871 to 1945. The brothers got to complete a dream that they wanted to do. The brothers also lived to tell about their experience. The Wright Brothers are my hero because they did not give up until they completed their dream, and they were the first to do it.
