Abraham Lincoln’s parents were Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln. His sister was Sarah Lincoln Grigsby. He was named after his grandfather.

He was born on Sunday, Feb. 12, 1809 in a log cabin near Hodgenville and died on May 4, 1865. He was the age of 51 when he died. He stood 6-feet tall and 4-inches and he weighed up 180. He lived in Washington D.C and the U.S.

Abraham Lincoln was very helpful, he stopped the slavery for people who were forced to do it.

He helped people with their lives because some people did not know what to do in their lives. He became president on Nov. 6, 1860.

If Abraham Lincoln did not stop the slavery it would have taken longer to stop in the U.S. That's why he’s important.
